chkconfig in debian

In Centos and other Redhat variants, I have come to love chkconfig.
When I changed to Debian, I was in for a shock, there is no chkconfig.

However, in Debian there are two tools that are even better
1) sysv-rc-conf  and
2) update-rc.d
